Our Story

Mike grew up in a real estate family. His father was a commercial broker in Yardley, PA. His mother was a residential agent in Virginia. Before he ever held a license himself, he spent years as a fixed-income and bond trader at the Pacific Stock Exchange, then built a translation company called Translate Central.

He brought that finance mindset into real estate when he got his license over 20 years ago. The way he sees it, every property is an asset — and every client deserves to understand what it's worth today, five years from now, and in a downturn. That thinking shaped every deal he and David did at Keller Williams Commercial starting in 2007.

TRES launched in 2017 when Mike and David Morgan decided to go independent. Together they closed around 110 residential deals and 200 commercial transactions — $35M in residential volume and $225M in commercial sales and leasing. More than 60 families and 50 businesses trusted us with moves that mattered.

In Memory of David Morgan, 1950–2026

David Morgan loved a good pun, Little Feat on the stereo, and telling you something you didn't want to hear in the nicest possible way. "If we can't teach them, time will," was his standard response when a client didn't take his advice.

Mike met David around 2009 when Keller Williams expanded into commercial real estate. For the next eight years they shared an office, built a book of business, and eventually decided to do it their way — Triangle Real Estate Services opened in 2017.

David passed away on January 25, 2026 after fighting cancer. He was 75. He is survived by his daughter Kristen and granddaughter Saoirse. He built this firm with Mike. His standard for integrity — how to navigate a complicated market without cutting corners — runs through everything TRES does.
